Biggest Fitness Accomplishment Racing an Enduro MTB event at Killington Mountain — four 1,000 ft climbs followed by double black diamond descents on a trail bike. Before the race, I felt sick with nerves. Afterward, I was proud beyond words for facing fear and finishing strong.

Also: completing a technical canyoneering rappel into Mystery Canyon in Zion National Park. I walked into that rappel one person and came out changed.

Fun Fact In high school and college, I competed in Speech and Debate and went all the way to Nationals. That experience sparked a deep interest in politics, which led me to serve as a Congressional Page on Capitol Hill and later attend law school for two years. But along the way, I discovered that what I really loved wasn’t policy—it was coaching smart, driven people to reach their full potential. I’m grateful I figured that out early.

HEAD COACH

Education & Credentials
I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal State East Bay and am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA.

Fun (and Slightly Embarrassing) Moment
Shortly after moving from California, I found myself bench pressing in my garage—no spotters, just vibes. I wasn’t attempting a PR, just ran out of gas after a few sets. Five long minutes later, I finally managed to free myself. Yes, there’s video. Yes, I still use it as a “what not to do” teaching moment.

Something You’d Never Guess
Before coaching full-time, I spent six years running a distillery. I formulated over 20 unique recipes for small-batch brands that are now sold nationwide.

Favorite Book
I don’t read often, but one book I keep returning to is Conscious Coaching. Despite the title, it’s really about human connection—building trust, communicating better, and creating relationships that last beyond the gym.

Most Embarrassing Moment
I fractured my C6 with a bar at a competition… and still finished the comp. (Would not recommend.)

Biggest Accomplishment
I’ve never given up. No matter what stands in my way, I keep going. Even while battling cancer, I stayed committed—there are pictures of me doing handstands in the hospital to prove it.

Fun Fact
I know how to weld—and I’d love to get back into it someday.

Favorite Books
I’m a big reader. My top three are Relentless by Tim Grover, How Bad Do You Want It by Matt Fitzgerald, and How Champions Think by Dr. Bob Rotella.

Education and Certifications:
  • CrossFit L1 Trainer
  • B.S. New Media Interactive Development – Rochester Institute of Technology
  • Previously was a certified Tae Kwon Do instructor
Most embarrassing gym moment:
After my first couple of months at Reach, I was so excited that I learned how to kip. In my excitement, I launched myself off of the pull-up bar and landed flat on my back in the middle of the workout. Guess I should’ve spent more time learning how to hold onto the bar…
Biggest fitness accomplishment:
I earned my 3rd degree Black Belt and became a national gold medalist in Tae Kwon Do, all before the age of 13.
Fun fact:
I was a drummer and singer in a rock band during my freshman year of high school.
Personal motto:
“Whether you think you can or you can’t–you’re right.”
“Let them.”
